Avatar: 'Inclusion'

Inclusion represents the idea of embracing everyone, regardless of gender, race, disability, etc., is included, understood, appreciated, and served. Fashion inclusion means making clothing and fashion experiences accessible to a diverse range of people and aims to achieve acceptance for all individuals with no exception: fashion for everyone.

In conceptualizing 'inclusion', I combined several different kinds of materials into a pillow for my avatar. These materials, characterized by varying colors, textures, and shapes, unite to create a harmonious and beautiful ensemble. Some of the materials are non-conventional in the realm of pillow making, typically considered as not fashion-related. Also, the materials employed are all remnants from past projects, normally not appreciated and thought to be useless, but inclusion makes them take on a new lease of life. Their integration into the avatar is emblematic of the transformative power of inclusion. Furthermore, the materials unite to represent the pillow's attributes of softness and warmth, which are also the essence of inclusion.

My avatar shows how diversity can drive inclusive design. The materials that initially did not 'fit' are precisely what make the pillow as a whole special, bright, and colorful.
